Violence Prevention

The I AM ABLE Center has partnered with Chicago CRED to introduce a one of a kind violence prevention program for youth between the ages of 13 and 17.  The purpose of our program is to increase the lifespan and quality of life for the youth by preventing and/or reducing the risk of gun and violent behavior in our community.  

 ​I AM ABLE is a faith-based trauma-informed care agency providing services from birth to the end-of-life.  

The I AM ABLE Clinical Department provides therapeutic services to our clients who are referred from a variety of social service agencies. These include the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), schools, hospitals, religious organizations, and more. We accept self-referrals and serve children and adults of all ages.

The I AM ABLE Preserved for Excellence Department offers healthy decision making and relationship trainings through our partnership with Family Bridges. Our Trauma Response and Intervention Movement (TR4IM) is our social cohesion, public health, new community policing model.
