The cost for weekly counseling sessions will be determined during intake. The cost for services is based upon a client’s income and family size. ABLE does not turn clients away based on their inability to pay for services.
Our Unique Student Empowerment Program (USEP) allows I AM ABLE to provide individual and group counseling services in the academic setting, for Pre-K through 12th grade students, and their families. The goal of USEP is to provide clinical counseling services to students in their learning environment, and assist with improving the academic and behavioral outcomes of students. The stigma of counseling is greatly reduced by providing it in the academic setting.
USEP currently operates in Kellman Elementary, located in North Lawndale.
Through this partnership, we seek to enhance Kellman’s efforts toward student achievement, by striving to meet the social and emotional needs of the students. I AM ABLE clinical staff meets with students weekly for a minimum of 6 sessions, for individual and/or group counseling services for 25-40 minute intervals. I AM ABLE encourages and welcomes family involvement. This aids in the continuum of support needed to catapult children toward success!
